Year 6 - 7 Regional Transition Day 2025

William Ross State High School would like to invite your student to be part of our Year 6 - 7 Regional Transition Day. The day is designed to familiarise students with William Ross State High School.  The program will run for one day and incorporate a school orientation, subject tasters and briefings by Administration and School Support staff.  Most importantly, students will engage in classroom activities across all subject areas, allowing them to participate in a realistic snapshot of the Year 7 curriculum.

 STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED AND COMPLETED AN ENROLMENT INTERVIEW FOR YEAR 7 2026 TO ATTEND THIS TRANSITION DAY


Date:   Wednesday 3rd December 2025

Times: Students are requested to arrive at William Ross at 8.30am.  School will finish at 3.00pm.​

Transport:  Parents are required to organise student transport / travel to and from William Ross SHS. Bikes can be placed in the school bike racks if required, however must be locked. 

Uniform: All students are required to wear their Primary School Uniform and closed in footwear.

Equipment:  Each student is required to bring at least one exercise book, stationery and a hat.

Lunch will be provided to students on this day.  Students should bring extra food or money to purchase food from the tuckshop for second break.

The Regional Transition Day is an important opportunity for students to participate in a range of junior secondary school subjects as well as meeting other new students who will be attending our school in 2026.
