school-based certificate, pioneered by William Ross State High School that
recognises the completion of the student’s junior phase of learning.
SENIOR SECONDARY
Queensland's senior secondary curriculum (Years 11 and 12) is managed by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA). It is designed to be highly flexible, allowing students to tailor their studies toward university, vocational training, or direct entry inot the workforce.
The primary goal for most senior students is to achieve the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). To earn this certificate, students must accumulate 20 credits across a set pattern of learning, typically over two years. Students must also meet specific literacy and numeracy requirements
